I went to the doctor for my check up and of course he said my blood pressure was real high and you know what he said next...yes i need to loose some weight. So a friend told me about the weigh to go class so i gave it a call and made an appointment.

I started on 10/26/06 at 186 pounds and a size of 24 and now 10/15/08 I only weigh 139 pounds, and i feel fantastic! Thanks to Dr. Holmes and his staff for all there support not only do i look much better i feel better and do not have to take Blood pressure medication.

On October 10, 2005 I stepped on the scale and to my horror it read 227 pounds! I was wearing size 20 pants, I guess my mind didn't want to know how much I weighted, but 227 pounds was a shock. I knew I had to lose at least 50 pounds, I have no will power so I knew I needed help.


Not knowing what to expect, I was a little worried when the word shot was said, I don't care for needles. But, I kept seeing 227 and said it can't be that bad.

I started by counting carbs and fat, I only allowed myself 75 carbs and 25 fat grams per day. The first month I didn't count calories, but I did try to eat foods that were high in protein. I started walking on the tread mill, I couldn't believe that I could only walk 5 minutes at 1.5 mph., I thought I would die doing that, how did I get so out of shape! I even gave myself shots twice a week, they didn't hurt.

Not knowing if I had lost any or not I went to my appointment and stepped on the scales and was again shocked but this time I had lost 15 pounds, I hadn't noticed and no one else did either. I was on cloud nine, Dr. Holmes and his staff was as thrilled as I was. Their encouragement and support was amazing.

I countinued to count my carbs and fat grams, and ate plenty of protein. I started counting calories eating 1000 per day. As I lost weight I could walk longer on the tread mill, and was honestly enjoying it (I hate to exercise). Oh and I cheated every Saturday, I ate anything I wanted. As I continued to lose, my cheat days were not enjoyable. I felt guilty, and didn't like the bloated feeling I would have if I over ate. So on my cheated days I started only cheating one meal, not all day.

I had only hoped to lose 50 pounds, at least get down to a size 12/14. March 2006 I had lost 52 pounds and could wear size 12. I felt so much better, and with Dr. Holmes encouragement, I decided that I could lose even more. By August 2006 my weight was 145 pounds, I had lost 82 pounds and was wearing size 4/6. Even my feet were smaller. Right now I am maintaining.

I will never regret going to Weight to Go, it changed my out look on life. The support and care that Dr. Holmes and his staff have giving me is priceless.

I was very active in sports while in school. Once I graduated my weight went up and down, I tried every diet possible. I could lose weight, but it always came right back. Weigh To Go has been the best place ever to lose weight. Most places, you have to go at least 3 times a week. But at Weight To Go, you only have to go every 5 weeks !!

As a kid I was tall and skinny, till I was around 25 years old and things started to change.  The weight kept creeping up on me, till before I knew it, I was wearing size 42 pants.
I tried numerous diets, Adkins, Weight Watcher's just to name a few. I own a machine shop, so I am on my feet 10-12 hours a day, thinking, this is a good thing, it would help me lose weight along with watching what I eat. 

But there were no pounds coming off.  Everything I tried either didn't work for me or I felt as if I would starve and I wouldn't stick with it.
I heard about "Weigh To Go" through a friend and decided to give it a try. 
Nov. 20, 2007 was my first visit, weighing in at 286 and on crutches. 

By following the advice of Dr. Holmes and his staff, being a little more conscious of what I put in my mouth and a small amount of exercise, I am able to stick with this, lose inches and pounds.  I don't feel hungry all the time, like before.  I feel better than I have in years, my knees don't hurt anymore and my wife thinks I look great.

I am wearing the same belt (on purpose) through out this experience, just to see what difference it would make.  I am able to tighten up on the belt every 3-4 weeks.  In almost a year, I've moved up 10 notches. 
Now I weigh in at 242 pounds!  I've lost 10 inches in my waist and 4.5 inches in my chest.  I will never go back to weighing any where near 300 lbs. again.
